Oggi che pranziamo in una bella taverna sul mare a Kato Zakros abbiamo altri incomprensibili problemi di connessione con la chiavetta Vodafone gentilmente offertaci dalla proprietaria, come già era successo ad Iraklio!
Ci consola l'idea di avere finalmente passato il capo SE con il Meltemi che ormai da giorni soffia a 40-50 km orari.
Il post del 22 agosto lo pubblicheremo appena possibile (mare in burrasca anche a Ierapetra: che fatica e quanta concentrazione!).
Ieri invece abbiamo pagaiato per 42 km col Meltemi che in ogni ansa prima ci contrastava e poi ci "sputava" fuori. Una pausa in un "covo" di pescatori a Kalo Nero, una brutta centrale termoelettrica che surriscaldava il mare circostante con le acque di scarico, un ultimo saluto alla vicina isola di Koufonissi ed una placida notte con luna piena nel borgo di Xerocambos...
Today we have lunch in a beautiful tavern in Kato Zakros and we have more incomprehensible problems with the internet connection, despite the switch kindly offered us by the owner!
On the other wise, we're excited with the idea to have finally passed the south-east head, even if the Meltemi blows from days to 20-25 knots.
We will try to update the post of the 22nd of August as soon as possible (storm sea also in Ierapetra: hard work and much concentration!).
Instead, yesterday we have paddle for 24 n.m. with the Meltemi blowing in an opposed way when we enter in a bay and then "spit us" out.
A break in a fishermen little harbour in Kalo Nero, an ugly thermoelettric site that overheated the surrounding sea with the unloading waters, a last regard to the neighbor island of Koufonissi and a placid night with a full moon in the coastal village of Xerocambos...
