E appena sbarcati a Patrasso, di nuovo in auto per raggiungere il porto del Piero ad Atene, ci ricordiamo ridendo del più bel complimento ricevuto in un porto: eravamo a Genova, di ritorno dal giro della Sardegna (o era la Corsica?) ed un camallo in canottiera ci ha avvicinato e nel trambusto dello sbarco di auto incolonnate e passeggeri sudati e bambini annoiati e autisti strepitanti e clacson urlanti e imprecazioni gratuite ci ha detto serafico: "Si vede che avete fatto un viaggio in kayak: siete gli unici sul traghetto ad essere veramente rilassati"!
When we catch the ferry we immediatly remind the little song composed by our friend Henry during an unforgettable sea kayak trip to the Ionic Islands of Greece: "We're going down to the sea, my kayak paddle and me... we're going east, we're going west, because we always are the best!"
And when we disembarke in Patrasso to reach by car the Athens harbour, we remember laughing the most beautiful compliment received: we were just arrived in Genoa, coming back from sea kayak trip in Sardinia (or Corsica?) and a worker in undershirt has approached us and in the uproar of the unloading of tabulated cars and sweaty passengers and annoyed children and shouting drivers and howling calcson and unbearable swearwords he seraphic told us: "You have done a good seakayak trip: you are the only ones on the ferry to be really relaxed!"
