Levanto-Porto Venere-Levanto challenge

Durante l'ultimo raduno internazionale "Bibionekayak", Niko di Avatak ci ha consegnato le pagaie che useremo per la spedizione a Creta: due belle "Nuuk", una rossa ed una verde.
Abbiamo aspettato a parlarne perché volevamo prima provarle in modo intensivo, e la Levanto-Porto Venere-Levanto dello scorso 3 luglio, è stata una ottima occasione per maneggiarle per 30 miglia nautiche di pagaiata.
Così, mentre Tatiana è impegnata a Palinuro con il Kayakamp, ho "impugnato" la rossa (che abbiamo deciso essere la mia) e mi sono unito alla sfida...
L'affidabilità e la robustezza sono doti immancabili nelle pagaie Avatak e ormai non fanno più storia.
Fa storia, invece, la sensazione particolare, dovuta al nuovo trattamento adottato per queste pagaie, cioè quella del contatto vero con il materiale che le costituisce: il legno.
E' stata una sensazione bellissima, grande Niko!
Queste pagaie saranno delle splendide compagne di viaggio...

During the last international gathering "Bibionekayak", Niko of Avatak gave us the paddles we will use for the Crete expedition: two beautiful "Nuuk", one red and one green.
We waited to speak about them because we wanted to try them intensively first, and the Levanto-Porto Venere-Levanto challenge of the last July 3rd, was a good opportunity to handle them for 30 nautical miles of paddling.
Thus, while Tatiana is committed in Palinuro with the Kayakamp, I "grabbed" the red (which we decided to be mine) and I joined the challenge...
The reliability and robustness qualities never fail in Avatak paddles and now they don't make more history.
It's new history, however, the particular sensation, due to the new treatment used for these paddles, that is the real contact with the material they are made: the wood.
It was a great feeling, great Niko!
These paddles will be some wonderful traveling companions...
